The Sierra Club is a nonprofit
member-supported, public interest organization that
promotes conservation of the natural environment by
influencing public policy decisions -- legislative,
administrative, legal and
electoral. Here in  the Piedmont we work protect our
area, to maintain open spaces and to build a community
that is environmentally aware and active.
You can participate! The Sierra Club is an active,
volunteer organization. We have many opportunities for
you to have a voice in the world in which you live right
here in the Piedmont. Our monthly meetings are
informative, fun and full of people like you who are
concerned about the air, water and land upon which we
depend.
Piedmont Plateau Sierra Club meetings are held
the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
at the environmental library, Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch in Price Park. The address is 1420 Price Park Drive, which is off of the section of Hobbs that runs between New Garden Road and Jefferson. Everyone is invited
to come at 7:00 pm for refreshments. Come join us and make a difference!

 There are lots of ways to be active in PPG -- bringing delicious snacks and drinks to our monthly meetings is one of them! We enjoy breaking bread (and cookies, pretzels, nuts, and other yummy tidbits!) together and socializing for a half hour at the start of each gathering. If you would like to be part of PPG's Hospitality Team, please contact Catharine at 707-0082 or dancingtreesyoga at yahoo dot com. All volunteers are speedily reimbursed for snack purchases.
