Learn about the efforts of the US Fish and Wildlife Service to re-establish the Red Wolf in eastern North Carolina.  Possible side trip to see migrating water fowl.  Car camping at Pettigrew State park, located about 3 hours east of Raleigh on Phelps Lake.  Pre-registration required.  Refundable $10 deposit.
