Graphic Designer Looking for individual who can help the Capital Group design promotional materials (brochures, newsletters, displays) that will be used for events and community outreach. This individual will work with the Executive Committee member responsible for Group marketing. Time commitment will be dependent on planned events and activities as well as availability of potential volunteer on average, the position will likely require 5 hours per month. Committee Site Webmaster The Capital Group Sierra Club is looking to identify an dependable webmaster to assist with updates and oversight of the conservation and political committee pages on the group's website. The website interface is extremely user-friendly and does not require a great deal of expertise. This volunteer will work directly with the Capital Groups Webmaster who manages the overall website (see: www.nc.sierraclub.org/capital/) as well as the Chairs of these committees. The webmaster will be responsible for ensuring that the sites are maintained with current information (events, news, action alerts, etc.). When needed, this person will provide backup to the Webmaster, especially with posting of news alerts to the main website and communications with our listserv. Training provided. Maintenance activities will require approximately 5 hours/month. Listserv Master The Capital Group Sierra Club is looking to identify an dependable, individual to oversee the posting of weekly calendars events and action alerts and other postings to the listserv as necessary. The List Master will coordinate the submission of material to be posted and ensure that the material posted complies with the criteria set for such postings. This volunteer will work directly with the Communications Chair as well as other Committee Chairs. This volunteer would also be responsible for securing a backup list master. Training provided. This position will require approximately one to two hours/week. Fundraiser Help plan fun social events and fundraisers, such as our annual Wine Tasting/Silent Auction. Assist with establishing committees to find event locations, coordinate logistics and organize volunteers to help with handouts, food, beverages, and setup/cleanup. Position provides monthly reports to group leaders. This position will require approximately 5 10 hours per month. May also participate on Ex Com (optional).
