Being a Sierra Club Volunteer is fun and rewarding. If you are interested in any of the below opportunities, or if you don't see the position you're most interested in filling, contact us at members-cg@sierraclub-nc.org to discuss your volunteer interests and how you can best put your talents to work for the Sierra Club.

Graphic Designer

Looking for individual who can help the Capital Group design promotional materials (brochures, newsletters, displays) that will be used for events and community outreach.  This individual will work with the Executive Committee member responsible for Group marketing. Time commitment will be dependent on planned events and activities as well as availability of potential volunteer – on average, the position will likely require 5 hours per month. 

Fundraiser

Help plan fun social events and fundraisers, such as our annual Wine Tasting/Silent Auction. Assist with establishing committees to find event locations, coordinate logistics and organize volunteers to help with handouts, food, beverages, and setup/cleanup. Position provides monthly reports to group leaders. This position will require approximately 5 – 10 hours per month. May also participate on Ex Com (optional).

Volunteering is a great way to get involved and learn more about what we are doing to explore, enjoy and protect the environment.
